The Insurance Council of New Jersey (ICNJ) is a non-profit, insurance research, information and advocacy organization representing 18 New Jersey licensed property/casualty insurance companies. Collectively, ICNJ member companies underwrite 67 percent of automobile insurance policies, 55 percent of homeowners' insurance policies, 53 percent of workers' compensation policies and 49 percent of the commercial insurance in New Jersey.

Our mission is to create a positive image and understanding of our industry and to promote a positive business environment through education, public information and communication with the state's media, consumers and public officials.
