To create a positive image and understanding of the property/casualty insurance business and to promote a positive business environment through education, public information and communication with the state's media, consumers and public officials.


  • To provide member companies with value-driven services and programs focused on timely and accurate information on issues affecting New Jersey's property/casualty insurance business.

  • To articulate the representative views and positions of member companies to New Jersey citizens and their elected and appointed representatives on a regular basis.

  • To serve as an authoritative and reliable source of information for consumers, the media and state officials about the state's property/casualty insurance industry and markets.

  • To collect up-to-date information on insurance issues and disseminate it to interested parties in an effort to develop a more informed and positive understanding of the property/casualty insurance business.

  • To familiarize specific audiences - including community organizations, consumer groups and member-company employees - with the impact of regulatory decisions and legislative and judicial actions concerning insurance in New Jersey.
